This is a web page that I use to help plan my sabbatical trip to Europe
during the summer of 2002. I'm traveling to Antibes, France; Lucca, Italy;
Chianti Region, Italy; Verona Italy. This page includes links to sites
that I used, random information for easy retrieval, and a few notes on
those sites that I found particularly useful.
Long Term Lodging/Real estate
Finding a place to stay is one of the most hassling parts of traveling
abroad. Here are some sites that I used to help plan my trip, plus a few
comments on the larger ones.

Rental cars
Car rentals can be expensive in Europe. If you're there for any extended
time, you'll want to get a short term lease. There is a weird French
Tax structure that makes short term leasing advantageous. Thus both
Renault and Peugot have extensive leasing programs for tourists. I used
Renault in 1996, and again in 2002. Peugeot is probably a little cheaper
for the same class care. However, I really like their program and their
service.
