Here are some packets that we are making freely available to the quizbowl community. Merry Christmas. If you have any used packets lying around, why not send them to us, or better yet make them freely available?

Quesadilla One Packets

In accordance with the "guerrilla quiz bowl" nature of Quesadilla, these packets received zero editing before the tournament, and only the most minimal editing (some reformatting) afterwards. All credit and responsibility therefore lies with the authors.

Berkeley.
Jon Pennington, Fred Carpenter, Mike Bennett. David Levinson may also have been involved in writing the packet?

BYU A. Theme Packet.
Ken Jennings, Earl Cahill, Dave Sims. I never until this moment realized that Dave has the same name as a well-known comic book writer!

Bzzr Boyz.
Peter Freeman, R. Hentzel, Phil Huang.

Caltech Also-Rans: Tossups, Boni.
Chris Nolte, Albert Chiu, Jay Catherwood.

Deathtongue. (Best Packet Award.)
Jeremy Horwitz, Stan Karas, Jesse Molesworth, David Taylor. The Best Packet Award was a close call, though. I also liked the Also-Rans packet, for instance.

David Farris & Co.: Tossups, Boni.
David Farris.

Military Industrial Complex.
Joshua Solomin, Alan Taber.

No One Knew That John Was Like The Ivy: Tossups, Boni.
Doug Bone, Richard Mason, Maribeth Swiatek. The team name is an All My Children reference.

Prisoners of Quiz Bowl: Tossups, Boni. Theme Packet. (Best Theme Packet Award.)
Patrick Friel, Howard Lee, Oz Pathare.

The Original "Chick Packet"

The Chick Packet: Tossups, Boni. Theme Packet
Maribeth Swiatek, Richard Mason. Sometimes imitated but never duplicated, this packet, affectionately known as the "Chick Packet", was written in 1997 and submitted to Berkeley's WIT 5. Notes: The round is intended to end after tossup 20. The players originally exposed to this packet did not know it was a theme packet, and a surprising number were only semi-aware of the theme once the round was over.

Technophobia Three Finals Packet

Technophobia Three Finals: Tossups, Boni.
Richard Mason, Maribeth Swiatek, Chris Nolte, Jason Meltzer. This packet was used for the final round of Technophobia Three. (Berkeley defeated BYU to take the title.)
