[edit] Research Interest
I am interested in the robot navigation problem. My goal is to develop practical, intelligent robotic systems that solve real-world problems. In particular, I am very interested in underwater robotics. My research has focussed on the robot motion planning planning problem, but I am also interested in:
- high-level reasoning and mission planning
- sensing, mapping, and localization
- collaboration between robots
Most recently I investigated the use of future information in robot motion planning to reduce the growth of uncertainty during system propagation. This reduction in uncertainty is key to obtaining efficient solutions in cluttered, dynamic environments, and for using more complicated agent behavioral models.
My past research have included:
- Robot Motion Planning in Dynamic, Cluttered, Uncertain Environments
- DARPA Urban Challenge
- MEMS-scale Piezoelectric Vibration Energy Harvester
- Mixed-Flow Fans
